The Penniless Princess is the forty-third episode of VeggieTales.

The story is based on Frances Hodgson Burnett's "A Little Princess."

Plot

Opening Countertop

The episode opens on the countertop as it is decorated like a library. After Larry introduces himself, Bob enters the scene, wondering what Larry is up to. Larry then shows Bob a book called "A Little Princess" by Frances Hodgson Burnett. Suddenly, the French Peas enter and dress Bob up as a baker. Afterward, Larry says he received a letter from a kid named Agatha Williamson from Bristol, England, which says that in Sunday School, Agatha learned to always love others even when times are tough or when people are boorish and incorrigible. After Larry asks what those words mean and Bob defines them, Larry tells the viewers he has a story that will answer Agatha's question. The story is called The Penniless Princess.

Act 1

The story opens in London in front of a train station as two tourists (played by Mr. Lunt and Petunia) exit it and two luggage haulers (played by Jimmy and Jerry) load a cart with luggage belonging to Sara Crewe who, along with her father, just arrived from Africa.
